I had the pleasure of visiting Agave by Imperial in the heart of downtown Peterborough with some friends tonight, and let me tell you—it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were hooked. The ambience is amazing, with a perfect blend of cozy yet vibrant vibes. The bar is sleek, and the overall setup has this great energy to it. The food? Absolutely top-notch. We were starving, as we were heading to a hockey game afterward, so we ordered a bunch of dishes to share. I’m so glad we did! The presentation was beyond impressive—especially the way they garnished the dishes. It’s the small touches that made it stand out, like the molcajete holding our guac and chips. Being someone who’s visited Mexico several times, I can confidently say they nailed the authentic taste and presentation. What also made the experience special was the vibe and the staff. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They even brought out a sombrero for us to take pictures with, which was a fun and thoughtful touch.Overall, I can't recommend Agave by Imperial enough. It’s a true masterclass in both food and hospitality. Definitely coming back for more, and next time, I’ll be sure to bring even more friends! A solid 10/10. See you guys soon!

absolutely love this place! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and authentically Mexican. The tacos are perfectly seasoned, the portions are generous, and the margaritas are some of the best I’ve had. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal or a night out with friends. The staff is always friendly and attentive, ensuring a great experience every time. If you’re looking for amazing Mexican food in Peterborough, this is hands down the best spot in town. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a restaurant that will provide you with a good Mexican food experience, Agave is a great option. The restaurant is located right in the city center, near several other businesses, but it stands out for its large sign. As soon as you enter the place, you will find a cozy atmosphere, with typical decorations but not overdone, and pleasant music, which allows people to talk without shouting. The service is excellent from the reception to the moment you leave the establishment. Menu: they have a children's menu with a good variety of food, basic items such as chicken and rice, tacos and quesadillas, which are more popular with children. The conventional menu is quite extensive and has many options of dishes, and all are identified with the level of spice. In addition, they have a drinks menu (beers, cocktails, spirits), non-alcoholic drinks, and depending on the time you arrive, there are items that are part of happy hour. One thing to note: when ordering dessert, please order the Tres leches cake, because it is simply amazing. Waiting time: the drinks arrived at the table very quickly, and the food took an average of 15 minutes, but it always arrived beautifully presented and very fresh. Facilities: for those traveling with children, the restaurant has highchairs for children and changing tables in the restrooms. During the spring and summer, the restaurant has tables in the outdoor area, which allows you to visit the restaurant with your dog, who can sit outside. For customers with disabilities: the restaurant has a door that opens and closes with springs, plenty of space in the dining room for walkers and wheelchairs, tables at a height for wheelchairs, and adapted restrooms with grab bars, but there are no doors that close and open automatically in the restrooms. Unfortunately, they do not have a menu in Braille, but they are willing to help with any order that customers may make. They don't have their own parking lot, but you can park your car on the street, paying for parking, and there are some parking lots nearby. It's worth a visit, the food is great, and the prices are good. We spent 180 Canadian dollars for two adults and 1 child, including taxes and tips.

Beautiful restaurant and great staff. Our server Olivia was fantastic and made sure that we had a great experience. Our food and drinks were amazing. I have a hard time finding vegetarian/pescatarian dishes that are flavourful. I ordered the watermelon ceviche and cauliflower tacos. My husband had a chicken bowl and guacamole to share. Everything we ordered spectacular. Will highly recommend eating here and will definitely come back. Thank you

Amazing experience all around! Our server, Sam, was funny and accommodating, she really made the experience! The food was phenomenal, we didn’t get any photos of it because we were too quick to dig in once it hit the table! Pictured here is the coconut chile margarita, so delicious if you’re a coconut lover! Will definitely be back to enjoy trivia night!

Popped in for a quick drink and ended up staying for a couple rounds of margaritas — seriously some of the best I’ve had in town. Super fresh, perfectly balanced, and not too sweet. The classic lime hit just right, but the mango one stole the show. Highly recommend for a chill night out or happy hour hang!

We were in Peterborough to run an errand and because it was international margarita day we needed one! Stopped by here and it is very quaint and cozy. Sam was running front of house all on her own and she did a bang up job. Definitely a spot to try for Mexican food.

We had the best time here! Service, drinks and food were all exceptional. We accidently went during trivia night (every wednesday!) and had so much fun playing along.
